The Refuge is responsible for ensuring a secure future for its residents.

We never sell or give up ownership, but are happy for anyone who adopts an animal to have full custody,  care and control of their new pet.

Interview - Tell us about yourself. We will help match you with the best pet for your lifestyle.

To book an appointment for an interview please contact the office 01228 560 082 or call in for a visit. Appointments available 6 days a week Wednesday to Monday.

Rehoming Area - We rehome animals to new homes within approximately a 50 miles radius of Carlisle.

Home Visit - We visit you to make sure your home and garden are ready.

View the Animals - Visit the rehoming pens and meet the animals looking for new homes.

Shortlist - We help you make a shortlist of animals that match your lifestyles

Meet the selected animal - Get to know the animal you would like to give a home

 

 

Vet Check

Vet Check - Your pet will be checked over by a Vet, ensuring good health before they go home.

Microchip - All dogs and cats are microchipped before they go into their new home.

Neutering - All adult cats and some dogs are neutered before they are rehomed.

Vaccinations - All cats and dogs will have had at least their first vaccination before they are rehomed.
